About our school
A family-centred approach to Islamic learning
Our Islamic school is a community-focused learning space dedicated to nurturing young minds and supporting families in their Islamic journey. We aim to provide a balanced environment where children can develop a strong connection with their faith, build good character, and gain essential Islamic knowledge. Alongside children’s education, we also provide opportunities for mothers to engage in learning, creating a family-centred approach that strengthens the practice of Islam within the home and community.
Our story
2014
Our journey began in October 2014 as a small gathering of sisters and children at Thornaby Masjid. Founded by Sister Nargis Naeem, this humble beginning quickly grew into a small home-based Islamic school in the Thornaby area.
2015
Sister Naseema Siddiqi took on a leading role in developing the school further, introducing structure, effective management, and clear policies that strengthened the school’s operations.
2017
The school relocated to Egglescliffe School and Sixth Form in Eaglescliffe, Stockton-on-Tees, where it continued to serve a growing community.
2020
The school temporarily closed in March 2020 due to the pandemic.
2022
Alhamdulillah, the school reopened in September 2022 and continues to serve the community today.
Run entirely by dedicated volunteers from the community.

Mothers’ classes and family events keep the whole household involved.
