We accept children aged 5 to 16 years.

We are a voluntary, non-profit organisation dedicated to providing Islamic education for our community.

Yes. All our volunteers are DBS checked, have completed Safeguarding Level 1 training, and follow the school's safeguarding procedures. Most of our teachers work during the week and volunteer their Saturdays solely for the sake of Allah (SWT).

We aim to provide a safe and welcoming environment for children and families, high-quality Islamic education, Qur'an learning, Urdu and Arabic language education, character building through Islamic values, fun sports and community activities, and opportunities for children to build confidence and friendships.

Our mission is to nurture young Muslims with strong faith, excellent character, respect for others and a love for learning. Through the dedication of our volunteers, we strive to provide a welcoming environment where every child can grow spiritually, academically and socially for the pleasure of Allah (SWT). “The best among you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)

Students learn Qur'an reading and recitation, daily duas, Islamic Studies, Islamic manners (Akhlaq), Seerah (the life of the Prophet ﷺ), Urdu or Arabic, and Islamic values and character building.

We teach using Safar Publications and Naseeha Educational Books.

Every Saturday begins with an assembly where students share how they spent their week, develop confidence through speaking, and learn about Islamic months and occasions — including topics such as Ramadan, Eid, Hajj, good manners and current events, and understanding celebrations such as Christmas and Valentine's Day from an Islamic perspective.

Yes. Every year we organise either an Islamic Knowledge Quiz or a General Knowledge Quiz, and teachers provide revision questions and answers in advance.

Yes, we offer free Mothers' Qur'an & Tajweed classes. Unfortunately we do not offer fathers' classes at the moment.

Registration fee (new students): £12 per child, one-off. Monthly fees: £17 for the first child, £14 for the second, and £10 each for the third and subsequent children. Urdu/Arabic: £5 per child, with the third and fourth child free. All fees are paid by bank transfer — see our admissions page for the account details.

Islamic Studies book: £6 each. Urdu book: £8 each. Arabic book: £15 each. Paid the same way as tuition, by bank transfer.

Parents complete our DTV School Google Admission Form. Registration is confirmed once the form and registration fee have been received by bank transfer.

Our Saturday school runs every Saturday from 9:30am to 2:00pm. 9:30am–10:30am: Urdu / Arabic classes. 10:30am–12:45pm: Islamic Studies, Qur'an & duas. 1:00pm–2:00pm: football and other sports activities for children accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Children should bring their books, a pencil case, a water bottle, nut-free snacks, appropriate clothing for sports (if they will play sports after school), and a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Children should wear modest, comfortable clothing suitable for learning. Girls wear hijab from class 4 onwards — please avoid tight or short clothing.

Parents are welcome during the sports session from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. To minimise disruption, classroom teaching is generally for students only unless agreed with the school.

Please inform the school as soon as possible if your child cannot attend — regular attendance helps children make consistent progress. If a child has been absent for 4 or more weeks but parents have kept in touch and stayed up to date with the work, we let the child sit the exams. If a child is absent for more than 6 weeks, with or without informing us, they will need to complete a short assessment before moving to another class.

Please inform the school. Try to arrive on time so children don't miss assembly or the start of lessons.

Children should only be dropped off at the official start time when school staff are present — please don't leave children unattended before school opens. Children must be collected promptly at the end of the school day. If someone else is collecting your child, parents must notify the school beforehand and provide that person's name.

Yes. Our academic year runs from September until July. The school closes for Eid, the last day of Ramadan, one week during Easter, and two weeks during December. Parents are informed of all term dates in advance.

Yes. Following Ramadan we organise an Eid Celebration for our students, parents, siblings, relatives and friends (a small additional charge applies to help cover event costs). Every July we also hold an Annual Awards Ceremony recognising academic achievement, excellent attendance, good effort and positive behaviour — families, grandparents and friends are warmly invited.

Yes. We warmly welcome parents who would like to support school activities and events — please speak to the school if you would like to volunteer or contribute your skills.

Parents are encouraged to listen to their child's Qur'an regularly, help them revise their lessons, encourage good attendance, ensure homework is completed, attend school events and celebrations, and maintain regular communication with teachers.

Yes. We have the DTV School WhatsApp Hub, with announcements, parents' groups, and groups for each child's class.
